Keeping Faith airs tomorrow on BBC One at 9pm.

The murder mystery series originally aired on Welsh Channel S4C in November last year.

It was hugely popular in Wales with around 300,000 people tuning in per episode when it premiered, making it the most popular show on BBC Wales in 25 years.

Shot in both English and Welsh, the drama was then shown on BBC iPlayer and broke records with over 9.5 million downloads – the highest number ever recorded for a non-network show.

The show was originally broadcast in Welsh under the title Un Bore Mercher which translates to One Wednesday Morning.

Due to its popularity, all eight episodes of Keeping Faith series one will now be shown on BBC One every Thursday at 9pm starting from tomorrow Thursday, July 12.

Keeping Faith can also be watched by viewers in the UK live via the BBC iPlayer when it returns tomorrow evening.

Fans can also catch up with the first episode on the video-on-demand platform.

Usually, episodes are available immediately after the episode broadcast ends but sometimes can take a longer depending on the length of the programme.

The second season is expected to be released at the end of this year.

What is the plot of Keeping Faith?

Keeping Faith series one has eight episodes.

The Welsh thriller is about Faith Howells (played by Eve Myles) whose husband Evan (Bradley Freegard) mysteriously disappeared while she was on maternity leave.

It follows the solicitor and mother-of-three as she tries to uncover the truth behind her husband’s disappearance.

In episode two, Faith represents an ex-criminal who she suspects knows something about what happened to Evan.

Who is in the cast of Keeping Faith?

Eve Myles, who is best known for her roles in Broadchurch and Victoria plays the main character, Faith Howells.

Faith’s husband Evan is played by Bradley Freegard, who is Eve Myles’ husband in real life.

Welsh actress Hannah Daniel plays Cerys Jones, a junior associate at Howells Law Firm.

Matthew Gravelle plays local policeman Constable Terry Price.

Mali Harries from Holby City, The Bill and Doctors plays Constable Terry’s wife and Evan’s sister, Bethan.

Other cast members include Welsh actors Mark Lewis Jones and Aneirin Hughes.

Keeping Faith starts tomorrow on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 9pm.
