John Travolta shows off his ‘Grease’ dance moves

‘Grease’, the iconic musical that everyone loves starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, turns 40 years old this year and Travolta was on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to mark the occasion.

The film is full of iconic moves in numbers such as ‘Greased Lightning’ and ‘You’re the One That I Want’ (the director of ‘Grease’, Randal Kleiser, recently provided a fascinating breakdown of that fabulous finale).

In relation to the latter, Travolta explained to Kimmel how he helped out with the choreography.

“Like in Pulp Fiction, I grew up with all these novelty dances,” he said. “So in Grease they needed a step for ‘You’re the One That I Want’ at the end. So I said, ‘Well, we used to do the four corners, why don’t we do that?’ So the choreographer said, ‘Show it to me, and I did.’”

The actor then showed the talk show host how to do the move.

John Travolta recently took to the stage with the Foo Fighters for an impromptu cover of ‘You’re The One That I Want’.

He has also ambiguously weighed in on that whole ‘Sandy is actually dead in Grease’ theory.

At the moment, he is promoting his new film ‘Gotti’, which he was at the Cannes Film Festival last month to publicise.

Travolta is also playing a crazed stalker in the film ‘Moose’, directed by Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst.
