CHRIS Hemsworth shows off a cheesy mo and a superhero-worthy physique in the trailer for his next movie, Bad Times at the El Royale.
Hemsworth stars alongside Jeff Bridges, Dakota Fanning and Jon Hamm in the Tarantino-esque flick, which was written and directed by Drew Goddard, who wrote the screenplay for The Martian and World War Z.
The film, which is set for an Australian release on October 18, throws together seven shady characters who meet up at rundown hotel near Lake Tahoe, on the California/Nevada border.
Hemsworth was rated the ninth biggest star in the world last year, based on box office earnings, with a global take of $US845 million ($A1.2 billion).
He is set to eclipse that figure in 2018, with The Avengers: Infinity War earning close to $2 billion and the Afghanistan special forces action drama 12 Strong performing above expectations.
Hemsworth’s competition for global box office domination may come from his Avengers: Infinity War co-star Chris Pratt, whose other big box office draw, Jurassic world: Fallen Kingdom, debuted this week.
