Auburn Players Youth Theater dedicates ‘A Chorus Line’ to Thommie Walsh

Auburn, N.Y. — The Auburn Players Summer Youth Theater is staging “A Chorus Line: High School Edition” in memory of famous Auburn native Thommie Walsh.

Walsh played Bobby in the original production of “A Chorus Line.” He was an award-winning director, choreographer and author. He won two Tony Awards and a Drama Desk Award.

“A Chorus Line: High School Edition” is the same length as the original, but changes have been made to accommodate younger performers.

It features some of the most popular songs in musical theater, including “What I Did for Love, “At the Ballet,” “The Music and the Mirror,” and “One.”

The show will be Aug. 3-4 at 7:30 p.m. and aug. 5 at 2 p.m. at the Irene Bisgrove Theater at Cayuga Community College. For more information on the show or tickets, visit the Auburn Players website: www.auburnplayers.org.
